Huis Beaucarne

The Beaucarne House is a unique 18th century monument where time has literally stood still. The house has been continuously inhabited by the same family since 1748 and has been honored in this way for generations. The historic interiors, full of inspiring family stories, transports you back to days long gone. The many items in the collection immerse you in a world full of amazement, ranging from old dollhouses, a library full of manuscripts or a true curiosity cabinet.

Fascinating meeting place

In addition, the domain includes a charming historic garden and an imposing 18th-century grape greenhouse, one of the oldest in Belgium. The house also has a special connection with (the history of) the Abbey of Ename. In the 19th century, a plant was named after one of the residents of the house; the so-called Beaucarnea.

The house, garden and grape greenhouse can be visited daily with a guided tour, given by the current residents. The location is also available for various (company) events, parties or activities; ranging from photo and film recordings to seminars, meetings and team buildings. Huis Beaucarne has three meeting rooms for between 20 and 30 people each and a spacious historic courtyard with tea house, for 100 people.

Afternoon tea

During the summer months, Beaucarne House also offers the Beaucarne Tea House; located in the historic courtyard, with a view of the gardens. At Huis Beaucarne you can also enjoy various arrangements on request, such as brunch/lunch/dinner or the classic 'afternoon tea'.
