Welcome to Louise-Marie Manor & Gardens Idyllically nestled in the hilly landscape of the Flemish Ardennes in Belgium lies the quiet village of Louise-Marie.

Here in 1928, the hunting lodge and country residence of Baron De Kemmeter was built to the design of architect Charles Hoge.

The two-acre property surrounded by private woods was where Hostellerie Shamrock was located between 1972 and 2008. This Michelin-starred hotel-restaurant attracted a lot of Brits and Americans.

Beautiful garden

In 1985, the crowning glory was the beautiful garden designed by renowned garden architect Jacques Wirtz. The renowned Belgian garden architect Jacques Wirtz (1924-2018) is responsible for the design and oversaw the construction of the gardens around the manor house. He rose to fame for winning the competition for the Belgian Pavilion at the 1970 Osaka World Exposition and for winning the competition to redesign the Carousel Gardens, connecting the Louvre in Paris with the Tuileries (1990-1995). Since 2020, Hostellerie Shamrock has been renamed Louise-Marie Manor & Gardens, an exclusive event venue in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes located an hour's drive from Brussels International Airport. The historic hunting lodge and country house with park garden is recognised as one of the finest remaining estates of the early 20th century.
